Medical study • Pakistani applicants

Your ambition in medicine. A carefully checked pathway.

Plan your medical application around academic eligibility, recognised training and the route to professional registration. We help you organise the questions and documents before you commit.

A clear admission process

From your first enquiry to a verified offer.

An admission offer and permission to practise medicine are separate decisions. Check both pathways at the start.

  1. Review your academic profile

Prepare your secondary and higher-secondary records, Biology, Chemistry and Physics results, and any equivalence documents. Confirm entrance-test and language requirements for your intended intake.

  2. Check the rules for studying abroad

Read the latest PMDC requirements for Pakistani students taking a foreign medical qualification, including eligibility and any required student registration before departure.

  3. Verify the exact medical programme

Check the institution, campus, programme title and current recognition with the relevant authorities. Review clinical training, internship arrangements and the route to registration in your intended country of practice.

  4. Compare the complete financial commitment

Ask for written tuition and other charges for the full programme. Include accommodation, insurance, travel, clinical placements, examinations and currency changes.

  5. Submit a complete application

Use genuine records and meet the university’s submission rules. Prepare for an interview or entrance examination where required. Keep the university’s written offer and conditions.

  6. Confirm your offer and prepare to travel

Review refund terms and pay only through verified channels. Complete the correct visa process, insurance and accommodation arrangements, and keep copies of receipts and documents.

Research the school’s identity and programme information. A directory listing alone does not establish accreditation, endorsement or eligibility to practise; the relevant regulator’s requirements still apply.

Questions students ask

Is every overseas medical degree called MBBS?

No. Medical qualifications can have different titles, including MBBS, MBChB or MD. The title alone does not establish equivalence or recognition. Review the structure and regulatory status of the exact programme.

Can admission guarantee registration in Pakistan?

No. Admission is decided by the university. Registration is governed by the applicable PMDC requirements, which may include recognition, examinations, internship and other conditions.

Can I study medicine in English abroad?

Some programmes offer English-medium teaching. Confirm the language used in lectures, assessments, hospital placements and patient communication. Local-language ability may be necessary for clinical training.
